Our Story

Chisholms of Ayr was purchased in Oct 2010 by husband and wife Kevin and Susan Wadsworth who are proud to be able to carry on the tradition of providing fine foods and produce - all sourced from local companies and suppliers where ever possible.   We are truly independent and lovingly prepare everything from fresh, using the finest ingredients. If you need anything bespoke for a special event / business lunch or fancy a quiet top quality take-away lunch which doesn't cost the earth, a warm welcome awaits you at Chisholms of Ayr.

Local

Ayrshire and Scotland produces excellent fresh foods and where possible we use suppliers as close to the shop as possible to reduce the amount of food miles involved. Luckily for us there is a wealth of top quality Producers nearby!

We pride ourselves on charging sensible prices as we believe that good food should be accessible to everyone and most of the products we sell can't be found in the supermarkets.

First Class Service

Kevin is an American who moved to Ayrshire in 1989 when Susan convinced him that the 'good life' was in Scotland.  So look out our American standards of old-fashioned, attentive and friendly customer service.
